Sartorial Woes
Tailors can never be perfect and customers can never be satisfied. Woes of both parties are actually genuine. It is really once in a blue moon that you chance to get a befitting and well-stiched dress. There is a wide/short/tight/long scope for things to go wrong here and a remote possibility of an acceptable outcome.
Flared tempers and irked reactions characterize the trial of the new garment. "A fully grown elephant could fit in here" ; "Why mine?" ; "Its as shapeless as a gunny bag" ; "A scarecrow has a prettier look" ;
"I wuldn't have fitted into this even 10 years ago... ;)"
It can really get irritating when you spend your time and money hunting for a decent material and the tailor churns up a ridiculous looking thing. And it is sad too because in most of the cases the damage is already done and it is a stich of no return.Goof-ups are not entirely uncommon as the styles, materials and the people that order them get randomly paired up.The poor tailors working furiously at their machines juggling with the demanding deadlines then have to face the music for those unintentional goof-ups.
Changing tailors can never be a foolproof solution as it only looks better on the other side of the shop. The only solutions are; not to attach any sentiment to the dress-material, or call the final product your own, like it and try to fit into it somehow, or in the worst case be prepared to give it to some needy soul. (saying the "grapes are sour" style that "maybe it was not lucky for me")
The trick of "calling it your own" works at times and I have ended up liking a dress once I had hated for being stiched awfully.
And if true of clothes, then also of the situations life offers you:
"Nothing can be perfectly tailor-made for you; it is upto you to try to fit in, feel comfortable and look good". (And this too is easier said than done).
