May the deserving play

This is a mere echo of a common man's sentiment towards the recent cricket team selection. Personally i am happy to see the drastic shift from the blase and underperforming players to a pack of young bloods raring to go. The TOI states : "This probably is the team the Aussie coach wants to build. A team of stars who don't behave like stars. Seniors who are not golden oldies .. "
If the left-outs and the injured players indeed want to come back, may they have to prove themselves and clinch a place back in the team.
I do not know how much percentage of the "dada"giri hyped by the media is true. But one cannot help wondering that, "What greater could be the height of snobbery than being called a snob by the English themselves ?"
And although one knows that this is too much faireness to expect of an unfair world like this, still one feels that : May the deserving play and may the best team win.
