Against
This review is not entirely 'Against' 'Viruddh' but definitely not 'For It' too.
To summarize, its a story of a lone fight and triumph of a middle-class, kind-of-aged couple viruddh the existing law and order system in the society. The first half of the film is exceedingly slow and the second half, a sad struggle.
Performances by Bacchan and Tagore are good and respectable as usual and they gel well as husband and wife. Those who know actor Shivaji Satam (of the 100 and CID fame) are going to have a laugh at his ludicrous fake front teeth that make him look like a rabbit. The heroine (?) Anusha Dandekar though sweet at times (vaguely looks fox-like at some places) has an extremely unkempt and unhealthy hairdo with white locks and streaks.
Some scenes and concepts are discordant and unconvincing. Tagore, the conservative, strict and morally upright lady accepting her son's live-in relationship with a phirang in a jiffy is just one of them.
The film is surely not able to hide some (rather many) of its financial sources. Reebok, Elf lubricants, Navratna hair oil, Calcium Sandoz, Nerolac Paints, Western Union money tranfer have made their presence felt from time to time.
The film maybe realistic when it comes to exposing the corrupt lawmakers and policemen.
Unsettling, thought-provoking but not enjoyable.

somehow dont agree with your view. Every movie need not be Enjoyable. Film making/viewing is not just about enjoyment !
