Hurry up Harry
Come mid-July and the "Potter Mania" shall again sweep us fans off our feet. Can't wait to read the "Half-Blood Prince".
IDC if anyone calls me childish on reading this book; it is age-no-bar for the fans of J.K.Rowling. I know of crazy school kids iterating through the same book for about 20 times.
The crazy and weird creatures, their academic subjects: - Potions, Care of Magical creatures, Defence Against Dart Arts, Occlumency are just too creative. There are some characters to which you can relate so very easily. I bet every class has sniggering Malfoys and Hermiones who are pit-pat in their lessons. Also, it is not always a cakewalk for Harry. This celebrity protagonist of the story yearns for a support and a GF (read God-Father) but luck evades him. The part where Sirius, his GF parts with him really tugs at the heart. The most interesting concept I feel is the bad being a part of the good. And if You-Know-What-I-Mean, it is crazy to believe that some part of Harry is Voldemort and that only either can live.
The best dialogues are between Prof. Dumbledore the twinkling-blue-eyed headmaster and Harry. In the episode of the "The Mirror of the Erised" when Harry is staring into it (this mirror is supposed to show you, your most deepest and desperate desire; and Harry obviously dreams of his late parents and family),Dumbledore says, "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that". Another, when he tells Harry about his association with Voldemort and that Harry is a marked man: -
"Youth cannot know how age thinks and feels. But old men are guilty if they forget what it was to be young."
And what can be more appealing than a book written in "crisp Brit English"?
