Life in a Blur
Some days just pass by so fast as though life was lived in a blur.
Last 3/4 weeks have been similar, cluttered with so many events though none of them significant.
* Finished my bi-monthly Mumbai trip. This time i am happy to know something about data warehousing. Though hard-core technical knowledge lies at the base; it is the business aspect that pulls strings.
* Started and completed Harry-Potter-6. Interesting book, rich with secrets.
Harry being a teenager of 16; the book has lost its innocence somewhat. But he has been shown and seems more responsible in it. And if the last book's ending was heart-tugging, this ones a heart-breaker. But the plots of both the deaths in both the books are lame.
* Watched some superb tennis late nights: Sania-Maria, Hewitt-Dent, Agassi-Federer.
Sania seemed like a tigress on the court with her power-packed strokes and Attitude Unlimited.The second match was extremely exciting with Dent, the unsung hero exhibiting a great fighter spirit though he lost. The last one was a beauty too, Federer winning the tournament and Agassi winning hearts. The player profiles, scores and photos can be seen here .
* Ganapati was home, a short and sweet stay of 1.5 days. As always, this festival brings along a strange serenity, a reason for family-get-together (r a r e these days and incomple.. without some members :)), and of course steaming delicious modaks.
* Harbouring a bad common cold since nearly 25 days and no remedy seems to cure it. Blame it on the bad weather and the AC in office. And, it is not pleasant to get up at 4am only to get a sneezing fit and go back to sleep again.
* Never missed the weekly, much needed dose of laughter with Shekhar Suman and Siddhu in "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge/Champion"
* Finally after many a hiccups, hangs, crashes and a change of motherboards and OSses got the AMD-64 in favour of the older one. The m/c is noticeably smooth and fast now, and I hope it continues its decent behaviour.
